I completed my dietetic internship and master’s degree at New York University and have been a clinical dietitian since 2012. I've worked in hospitals in New York City and Los Angeles helping patients manage a wide range of medical conditions including cardiovascular disease, organ transplantation, kidney disease, and weight management.
For the past 8 years, I was a ketogenic dietitian at UCLA Medical Center where I created and managed nutrition care plans for patients with seizures and other neurological conditions. I am excited that ketogenic diet therapies are now being used for medical disorders beyond epilepsy. I enjoy teaching patients and their families how these diets work- you are truly using food as medicine!
I love helping patients meet their nutrition goals - it's so rewarding to witness how even the smallest change can make huge long-term improvements in patients' lives.
I spend most of my free time in the kitchen - it's the heart of our home. When I'm not grocery shopping or meal prepping, I am watching my son play soccer or taking our miniature dachshund for a walk. I'm also an avid reader, and I just learned to play Mah Jongg last year!
"I am extremely passionate about food and the role nutrition plays in reducing the risk for chronic diseases and optimizing general health. I believe in eating real, whole foods, and I counsel patients on how to establish eating plans that are sustainable for their lifestyles. I understand that people have busy lives, and they need practical, attainable solutions."
