I have over fourteen years of experience as a Registered Dietitian. My background in Medical Nutrition Therapy equips me to assist clients with a wide range of conditions, including heart health, diabetes, and polycystic ovary syndrome, among others. I am also well-versed in disease prevention and promoting healthy aging.
Since becoming a mother, I have dedicated myself to researching and implementing evidence-based methods for feeding infants, children, and families. My practical experience with my two young children has fueled my passion for sharing this knowledge with other families. I actively participate in the Starting Solids & Picky Eating Networks for Health Professionals.
I have also specialized in geriatric nutrition, primarily working in clinical settings, both in medical institutions and home-based care. I strongly believe in the potential of nutrition to enhance health and promote longevity, following a Health At Every Size (HAES) informed approach.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from James Madison University and completed my Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from New York University. In addition to my nutrition work, I teach yoga in Northern Virginia. You’ll often find me spending time with my two young children in nature, tending to my garden, or experimenting in my kitchen.
I specialize in guiding clients toward sustainable choices that enhance overall well-being, with a special focus on pediatric and family nutrition, women's health, and geriatric nutrition. I firmly believe in the transformative potential of nutrition to improve health and promote longevity. I also recognize the importance of tailoring my approach to each individual, emphasizing a balanced and personalized health strategy.
