Background

Background

I was born and raised in India and immigrated to the United States after marriage. I have two wonderful kids who are at college. I was first introduced to nutrition in my eighth grade and was fascinated to learn how interconnected nutrition is to our well-being. I continued to follow my passion and earned my credentials as a Registered Dietitian. My favorite part of this profession is to meet the clients where they are and help them to achieve their health goals.

My Approach: To provide evidence-based tools to help clients to succeed in their health goals.

Specialties: My expertise includes pediatric, prenatal and postpartum, hypertension, and diabetes.

Modalities & Treatment Techniques

As a dietitian, I love to validate that we all have unique experiences with food, culturally, emotionally, and psychologically. I’m passionate about embracing this unique relationship with food and guiding clients towards a positive health outcome through evidence-based research. I use a combination of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Non-diet approach, Intuitive Eating techniques, and develop a positive relationship with food in my practice.

Education

University of Northern Colorado. I am currently doing my Master’s in Public Health, Lamar University.

Hobbies

Love to visit National Parks, trying new recipes, hiking, and dancing.
