I received my undergraduate degree in Dietetics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and my Masters in Nutrition from Boston University. After I completed my dietetic internship, I realized that I have a passion for working with individuals who struggle with their relationship with food. I focused my career on the nutritional care of individuals with eating disorders and disordered eating. I worked in inpatient, residential, partial, and intensive outpatient treatment settings prior to opening my private practice 10 years ago. In my private practice, I specialize in seeing clients who struggle with eating disorders, disordered eating, weight issues and body image concerns.
I am a HAES informed, non-diet dietitian who helps my clients work towards intuitive eating while learning to listen to and trust their bodies. Being able to draw on many experiences throughout my career helps me be a well informed dietitian who understands the complexities of disordered eating. The most rewarding aspect of my career is being a part of helping others heal their relationship with food and their body, and being a witness to how their lives positively change throughout the process.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, trying new restaurants, going for walks with my Bernedoodle puppy, and enjoying outdoor activities in San Diego.
"I've spent 20+ years helping individuals heal their relationship with food and their bodies, which has provided me with a wealth of knowledge and experience to draw upon when working with you. You can expect individualized treatment plans and careful attention to the details of your personal goals. I encourage your feedback to make sure that you are getting the most out of our sessions together. I look forward to beginning our work together!"
