I’ve been a Registered Dietitian for over 6 years. I have received my Bachelor’s Degree in Physiological Sciences from UCLA, my Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition from the University of Alabama, and my Master’s Degree in Nutrition from the University of Alabama as well. My main focus area is weight loss and I work with clients with all different types of medical backgrounds and nutritional needs including but not limited to heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes/prediabetes, postpartum nutrition, family nutrition, food allergies and intolerances. I decided to pursue becoming a Registered Dietitian due to my personal history of weight loss struggles. I consider myself a recovered fad-dieter as I’ve tried and failed at so many fad diets over the years. Only when I decided to follow evidence-based guidelines and focus on making healthier lifestyle changes, rather than following some short-term diet, did I start to see true results with my weight loss goals. Here I am years later having kept the weight off and now on a mission to make healthy eating simple for others! I’m here to show you that it’s not about your willpower but about understanding yourself and your body, accepting your current circumstances in life, and finding ways to incorporate healthy lifestyle habits step-by-step over time. I’m ready to take that journey with you and guide you along the way! Prior to our initial appointment, I will send you preliminary forms to complete so that we can spend our time together during that initial consultation focused on putting together a nutrition and exercise plan that will be sustainable for you long term. During our follow-up appointments, we will be discussing how the changes we’ve put in place are working out, what adjustments we can make going forward, and what new goals we can put in place to work on. Remember healthy lifestyle habits are a lifelong commitment and I’m here to educate and empower you to be able to maintain those healthy habits for the rest of your life, while losing some pounds in the process!
