Hi, I’m Gabriela! I’m a Registered Dietitian (RD) with a PhD in Nutrition, and I love helping people find practical, evidence-based ways to feel better while still enjoying the foods they love. In our sessions, you can expect a supportive, judgment-free space where we set realistic goals together. My aim is that you leave each visit feeling informed, encouraged, and confident about your next steps.
I became a dietitian to blend science with compassion—helping people create sustainable habits that support long-term health and improve quality of life. My approach is collaborative, flexible, and culturally sensitive: we’ll focus on what matters most to you and make it work in the real world.
I specialize in heart and metabolic health, weight management, healthy aging, plant-based nutrition, cognitive health, and reducing inflammation. Everything I recommend is grounded in science and personalized to your needs.
I bring experience from hospital and long-term care/SNF settings plus academic teaching. My doctoral work explored brain health and cognition in older adults, and I also contributed to eye-health research. I turn that evidence into clear, realistic guidance that fits your routine.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, doing puzzles, experimenting with plant-based recipes, and relaxing with a matcha latte.
"I’m collaborative and practical. I turn science into simple steps, set clear goals with you, and offer accountability. Together we create sustainable habits tailored to your goals, routines, and culture. Expect empathy, clarity, and realistic tips you can put into practice right away, plus flexible check-ins and adjustments for busy weeks so progress lasts. I aim to be clear and kind, so you always know your next step. We celebrate wins and troubleshoot setbacks together."
