Background

Hello! My name is Elizabeth, and I hope this is the start of a great partnership! I've been an Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist for over five years, working with people of all ages and backgrounds. Nutrition combines two of my interests: food and biochemistry! I hope I can share some of my excitement for nutrition with you.

My practice is based in an Intuitive Eating, anti-diet, Health At Every Size (HAES) framework. That’s the foundation of my practice, but my job is to bridge the gap between framework and research to build an eating pattern that works for you and ultimately empowers you to make sustainable changes for your health! I enjoy working with clients living with diabetes, oncology, disordered eating, and neurodivergence, or those who simply want to sort through the overwhelming nutrition and wellness influencer era we live in and just have a better relationship with food.

Eating should not be a chore or an obligation, but something that allows you to live your life to the fullest. I want you to have a kind and beneficial relationship with food. My aim is that at the end of our work together, you will walk away with the knowledge and tools to confidently nourish yourself and support your health with balanced and delicious foods. Now that’s the ideal end goal, but I recognize it can take some time to get there. As long as we don’t shy away from the work, I believe together we can reach that place a little sooner!

Approach

The way I approach nutrition is not to give you another diet, another meal plan, another set of rules. I’d rather give you the knowledge to understand what balanced, sustainable nutrition looks like, and the support and tools to go out and apply that knowledge to your eating patterns. Look forward to learning meal planning skills, providing accountability, understanding the role of food in health, debunking nutrition misinformation, and unpacking your own beliefs regarding diet and nutrition!
