Hi there! I’m Dilhari, a registered dietitian. My journey in the Nutrition field began with the simple realization that nutrition is a significant component in day to day life.

I began to cultivate a strong interest in nutrition and wellness throughout my life as I realized how nutrition-related diseases impacted my own family’s health with a family history of kidney disease, heart disease and diabetes. Even if I have never met my grandfather, I have heard many stories from my mother how he suffered from kidney disease. Those stores truly ignited my desire to help others prevent and manage chronic diseases through nutrition and other lifestyle modifications.

I obtained my undergraduate degree and master’s degree from California State University Long Beach. Currently I am working on my doctoral in clinical nutrition at University of Kansas Medical Center.

I started my private practice to provide people with clinical nutrition care in an approachable way. I practice an “all foods fit” approach, where I believe there is room for every single food in a healthy diet. Allowing all foods enables you to have a healthy relationship with food, which is one of the most important aspects of being healthy overall.

My philosophy is if it looks good, eat it. I eat everything with no food rules. Overall, I have developed a peaceful relationship with food, but sometimes that wasn’t the case. Day to day we hear about “good”, “bad” food and complicated diets that requires drinking shakes, fasting, and leave you hungry throughout the day. Actually, good nutrition is quite simple. I truly believe there is a way to reach your goals without restricting any foods or sacrificing your social life. A healthy diet is one that is not only sustainable, but also enjoyable.

My goal is to help you recognize food is meant for nourishing your body and satisfying your hunger. Individual nutrition needs vary from person to person. Each person is made of their unique combination of biology and psychology.

Through evidence-based and goal-oriented advice, I will help you identify the most realistic actions that help you reach your goals. Every appointment is tailored to meet each person’s unique nutritional needs and lifestyle, whether it be for those with a disease or for those who want to simply stay well.

To me, it is an amazing blessing to have the opportunity to help others improve and maintain their health and well-being. I take great pride in offering my expertise to others in this way.
