Hi there, I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Dawn and I am a Registered Dietitian & Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. I have over 5 years of experience working with hospitalized patients as well as private clients. I decided to become a Dietitian when I witnessed first-hand how powerful a role nutrition played in improving my own health issues. I knew right away that I wanted to help empower others to utilize food as a tool to help them live the happiest and healthiest lives possible.
I am a firm believer in shared-decision making, which means working collaboratively with you to set goals that are not only sustainable, but also realistic. Every person is unique and has different needs, preferences, and lifestyles. Your health journey is not one-size-fits-all. The key to long-term success is not about deprivation or stringent rules and I do not promote strict diets or rigid meal plans. My goal is for you to feel confident and knowledgeable in making positive yet flexible lifestyle choices that align with your health goals. I will listen to you, understand your challenges, and provide personalized guidance each step of the way.
I specialize in pre-diabetes & diabetes, weight management (loss/gain), and cardiovascular health. When not working with my wonderful clients, I enjoy relaxing at the beach, traveling to new places, eating at restaurants with good food and good views, and going on walks with my husband and 2 Boston Terriers pups, Bruno & Brinley.
