I have been a licensed dietitian nutritionist for more than 28 years. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maine and obtained my Master's Degree from Boston University, where I also completed a year-long internship at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, a Harvard and Tufts University teaching medical center, in Newton, MA.
Throughout a significant portion of my career, I have worked in an acute care environment and possess experience in various fields, including cardiac, renal, diabetes, weight management, and gastrointestinal nutrition, among others. My current focus is on Functional Nutrition, and I hold a Certificate of Training in this area.
I am dedicated to assisting individuals in achieving a state of improved well-being. Whether it involves nutritional strategies for weight loss, with or without the use of GLP medication, or identifying the underlying causes of gastrointestinal issues, I am here to support you on your journey. I assure you that I will work with you to develop a personalized plan that aligns with your specific needs and establish achievable goals that we agree upon. Additionally, I will promote changes that contribute to your enhanced well-being! For nearly 25 years, I searched to uncover the root cause of my autoimmune thyroid disease, and over time, I successfully healed myself. I can't say it was "one thing" that healed me but multiple things that I was willing to do and adjust in my life that brought about healing. Our bodies possess remarkable healing capabilities when provided with the appropriate conditions. I want to help you heal!
My other interests include spending quality time with my family, savoring delicious meals, and engaging in fitness activities. I am a three-time Boston Marathon finisher, and I had never run a day in my life until after the birth of my third child at the age of 36. If you believe you cannot, know that you can!
"HI! I’m Danielle, a Registered/Licensed Dietitian and I possess a Certificate of Training in Functional Nutrition. I take a holistic approach, acknowledging how deficiencies in nutrients, imbalances in the gut, & inflammation can lead to chronic illness. My goal is to learn about you, where you're at and how you would like to see yourself in the future. I am committed to tailoring and adjusting your plan based on your individual needs, preferences, and health conditions. You can do this!!"
