Background

My career as a Registered Dietitian began over 20 years ago when I needed to lose over 100#. I didn't want to use pills or supplements, so I chose a group led by a Registered Dietitian. She showed me the way to lose weight slowly and when those pounds were gone, encouraged me to return to college and get my degree in Dietetics. After my BS was done at the U of TN Chattanooga, there was no other choice but to complete a Dietetic Internship. My choice was to leave home to go to Vanderbilt. After completion, my work was our largest Hospital in Chattanooga as an Outpatient Dietitian. Next I went to work at the Chattanooga Heart Institute. I started a Private Practice specializing in Eating Disorders which I successfully maintained for the next 11 years. My next step was to become a Certified Diabetes Educator to work for a pharmaceutical company teaching diabetes patients how to use their insulin and manage their food and exercise. I worked here for 11 years and when the contract ended, I worked for an Endocrinologist, then accepted a Position with a Renal Group. I also have 2 years of experience as a Virtual Dietitian and this brings me to Fay! I am here to share proven methods to help you on your journey and to make peace with your mind, body and food!

Approach

"I truly believe there are no "good" or "bad" foods. Food has no moral value and that's what we are giving it when we say how "good" we are when we pass - up our favorite foods and how "bad" we are when we eat them! I will help you manage and gain control of what you eat and you'll be in control, not the food."
