Background

I have worked throughout many avenues of the nutrition world including diabetes management and blood sugar balancing, women’s health, weight loss management, adrenal health, as well as functional integrative medicine. Throughout each endeavor, my passion for counseling and helping clients reach their health potential has remained constant. My hope is to not only counsel patients toward longevity and wellness, but encourage and empower them through education and sustainable action steps.

My journey with nutrition and sustainability has been lifelong. From a young age, I was consumed by what grew in my grandparent’s garden- blackberries, tomatoes, green beans, peppers, sweet potatoes, and so much more. We would harvest, and then can, freeze, or eat it after a quick wash. I found the harvest and preservation of food to not only be therapeutic, but make the most sense. Getting my hands dirty as a kid only made my mind curious for more knowledge. I am grateful to say I have continued these practices into adulthood, and compounded on those experiences by graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition, as well as obtaining a Registered Dietitian certification. Obtaining these not only taught me more about food and nutrition, but is now allowing me to share experiences and knowledge through counseling others to achieve optimal wellness.

In my career thus far, I have had the amazing opportunity to counsel patients in an integrative/functional medicine space, essentially using “food as medicine”. This has given me insurmountable knowledge and experience on how to coach clients with various issues including hormonal imbalancing, adrenal fatigue, blood sugar dysregulation, nutrient insufficiencies, and much more. By combining the “food as medicine” approach with specific sustainable goal-setting techniques, I have had the pleasure of seeing clients grow and flourish into a state of empowerment over their health and well-being. They have reached a state of sustainability where they are able to eat in a way that nourishes and fuels their way of life, without sacrificing joy and fullness along the way. Seeing these outcomes is the drive of my career.
