Background

Hi, I’m a registered dietitian with over five years of experience specializing in oncology nutrition and clinical nutrition support. My approach is rooted in evidence-based practice and personalized care, and I’m passionate about helping clients feel empowered, informed, and supported in managing their health—whether they’re navigating cancer, GI disorders, diabetes, or other chronic conditions, or need assistance with nutrition support such as tube feeding or dysphagia.

Much of my clinical background has focused on caring for individuals with cancer—particularly GI and pancreatic cancers—as well as those requiring advanced nutrition support, including feeding tubes and total parenteral nutrition (TPN). I work closely with each client to understand their unique goals and challenges so we can build realistic, sustainable strategies together. Whether you’re newly diagnosed, in active treatment, recovering post-surgery, or adjusting to long-term symptoms, my goal is to help you feel nourished, confident, and supported every step of the way.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Florida. I’m a Registered and Licensed Dietitian, and I’m also a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC). My experience spans both inpatient and outpatient oncology settings, and I’ve presented at regional conferences on nutrition care for individuals with neuroendocrine tumors. My strong clinical foundation allows me to guide clients through even the most complex nutrition needs with clarity and compassion.

Outside of work, I enjoy arts and crafts, experimenting in the kitchen, and making foods from scratch like butter and sourdough. I love animals and even pet sit for fun! One fun fact: I lived abroad in Norway for a year while supporting my husband’s job assignment, and I absolutely love to travel.

I became a dietitian after volunteering as a medical interpreter in Nicaragua, where I saw firsthand the deep connection between chronic diseases and nutrition. I originally intended to pursue medical school, but during my pre-med studies with a focus on dietetics, I fell in love with the holistic approach to health and wellness that nutrition offers.

I’m fluent in both English and Spanish, and I bring a multicultural perspective to my work. I was born and raised in Nicaragua and moved to the U.S. at age 19 to pursue my education. I deeply value cultural sensitivity and inclusivity in my practice, and I’m here to support you—wherever you are in your health journey.
