Hi, I’m Anita Abdul-Karim, MS, RD — a Registered Dietitian, entrepreneur, and creative deeply passionate about helping people reconnect with food in a way that feels nourishing, grounded, and full of life.
My approach is rooted in intuitive eating, motivational interviewing, and a whole-person philosophy where nutrition becomes a joyful, evolving relationship rather than a rigid set of rules. I believe that our relationship with food reflects so much about how we live, care for ourselves, and connect to the world. Together, we’ll explore what nourishment means for you. Physically, mentally, and emotionally we’ll create an approach that feels sustainable and aligned with your life.
In addition to my work as a dietitian, I’m the owner and operator of Anita Café & Bar, a Mediterranean-inspired concept in St. Louis that celebrates community, creativity, and wellness. The cafe has been a living expression of my food philosophy — where nourishment meets art, culture, and connection. That experience continues to shape how I work with clients: blending structure with creativity, ritual with curiosity, and science with soul.
I hold a Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and am continuously expanding my expertise exploring emerging modalities in oncology nutrition, sports nutrition, and mind-body integration. My goal is to meet each client where they are, combining evidence-based strategies with deep listening, compassion, and personalized care.
Outside of nutrition, I find inspiration in writing, design all of which influence my holistic approach to health. I believe wellness is both practical and poetic. It’s in the choices we make every day and the mindset we bring to them.
If you’re seeking guidance that’s not just clinical, but creative and attuned to who you are as a whole person, I’d love to work with you. Together, we’ll build not only a healthier relationship with food but a more harmonious one with yourself.

Through motivational interviewing and intuitive eating principles, I help you uncover a sustainable way of nourishing yourself that feels natural and empowering. Together, we build a framework"
