Angela Cuevas, RD

I was a senior pre-med student at Louisiana State University when I took a nutrition elective and discovered my passion for this field. After receiving my Bachelor’s of Science degree, I went on to intern at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson and obtained my dietitian registration and license. For 13 years, I provided care for hospitalized patients with a variety of nutrition related illnesses at a community hospital.

For the last 8 years, I have done strictly outpatient counseling. An extensive amount of this time was spent following bariatric patients pre and post surgery, counseling diabetics, teaching classes for patients with heart disease, and assisting patients suffering with side effects of cancer and gastrointestinal disorders.

In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, traveling to new places and reading a good book.
