I am a Registered Dietitian (RD) and Wellcoaches Certified Health and Well-being Coach (CHWC). Over the last five years, I have dedicated myself to bringing the power of plant-forward nutrition to a multitude of individuals living with chronic conditions to markedly improve their health.
Decades of objective, peer-reviewed science demonstrate that eating more whole plant foods (particularly fruits, vegetables, whole grains and legumes) not only reduces the risk of developing lifestyle-related chronic diseases but also has the power to halt the progression of - and improve - many pre-existing chronic conditions. In some cases, adopting a plant-based diet has even been shown to reverse certain chronic conditions.
You have the power to achieve your health and well-being goals. My role is to provide the knowledge, resources and support you need to tap into your own strengths that will get you there.
Together, we’ll focus on “adding” rather than “subtracting” foods, and you’ll set the pace. Our work together will empower you to take charge of your health destiny by establishing new, healthful dietary and lifestyle habits that you can sustain. This is not about adopting a new “diet.” It's about choosing a way of eating that will support you in achieving optimal health for a lifetime.
I hold a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Michigan School of Public Health and completed my credentialing to become an RD in 2019. I provided plant-based nutrition counseling to clients through a private practice for one year after becoming an RD and then joined Mastering Diabetes where I worked for three years as a Diabetes Health Coach. I now work with Metabite as a Plant-Based Nutrition Health Coach.
In my spare time, I love hanging out with my husband and my cats and getting into nature as often as I can.
"I specialize in guiding clients living with prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, excess body weight, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and heart disease to markedly improve their health by making simple, sustainable dietary and lifestyle changes that yield big results. I take an evidence-based plant-forward approach, providing the knowledge and support you need to add more fruits, vegetables, whole grains and legumes to your diet. We’ll focus on adding, not subtracting foods, and you set the pace."
