Background

I have been a Registered Dietitian for 12 years now. My background includes a variety of interests from working in a hospital/nursing home (government and private) to being the nutrition expert at a grocery store to owning my own practice. I have worked with all client groups that have various backgrounds and goals.  Currently, I work full-time for the state of North Carolina as a Nursing Home State Surveyor. I enjoy variety in life and my work, so I also work part-time at a long-term acute care hospital. Working is my hobby and joy, and I love continuing to learn from clients and their families. Change is a constant with nutrition, so the work I do continues as my classroom. Seeing a Dietitian can be challenging, and I am here to hopefully make your experience as enjoyable and painless as possible. Thank you for choosing me to help you along your path.

Approach

"You as the client are in charge. Your goals and desires determine our path together. As your Registered Dietitian, I will not tell you what to do or talk your ear off with my wealth of nutrition knowledge, unless you request of course! This is a partnership, not a lecture session. I use a client-centered approach because your time is valuable. You know your limitations and potential more than anyone! That is what I will use to determine the path of our relationship and time together."
