Alexandra Herd MS, RDN, LD, CLC - I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Food Science and obtained a Masters of Science in Applied Nutrition from The Sage Colleges of Albany. My nutrition career began in WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) before gaining experience in inpatient and outpatient settings and moving into private practice. My nearly ten years of professional experience spans a wide range of age groups and various disease states. My passion, however, is women in all life stages from prenatal nutrition, through menopause and thereafter. I use non-diet, intuitive eating and Health At Every Size approach with all my clients, encouraging a healthier relationship with food.
In my free time, I enjoy a good cup of coffee, bouldering and curling up with a good book, as well as hiking with my husband, our young humans and our two dogs - Daisy and Bruce.
"My approach is like learning to ride a bike. At first, I’m there steadying the handlebars as you learn to fuel your body and build confidence. Soon you’re pedaling with training wheels, and before long, cruising on your own. I’ll be beside you for the wobbles, cheering for the wins, and celebrating when you realize—you’ve got this! My goal is to empower you to ride forward confidently into a nourished, balanced life that feels natural, sustainable, and uniquely yours."
