Hi, I’m Alexa!

I’m a Registered Dietitian based in Asheville, NC, specializing in Celiac Disease and gluten-free living.

​

My journey into nutrition started over 11 years ago when I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Navigating a new diagnosis and completely shifting my diet was overwhelming, isolating, and at times, exhausting. That experience is what inspired me to become a dietitian—so I could help others feel supported and confident while living gluten-free.

​

I hold a Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!) and a Master of Public Health in Nutrition and Dietetics from UNC Chapel Hill.

​

Through my practice, I combine personal experience with clinical knowledge to help people thrive on a gluten-free diet—whether you're newly diagnosed with Celiac Disease, navigating non-Celiac gluten sensitivity, or just trying to figure out what "safe" food actually means.

​

My approach is compassionate and realistic. I’m here to help you feel empowered—not restricted—by your diet. I also believe in a non-diet, weight-inclusive philosophy. I don’t promote intentional weight loss, but I do focus on sustainable behavior change that supports your health and well-being.

Outside of work, you can find me dancing, reading, exploring the mountains of Western North Carolina, or cheering on the Buckeyes.
