Erin Lombard, RD

I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition in 2014. I am a mom of two young boys who are always moving and always eating. Our family loves to travel and to be outside!

I have worked in several Houston hospitals providing nutrition education and support for infants and children with all different kinds of medical conditions. While we work hard to improve the nutritional status of children while in the hospital, many families do not have a dietitian to follow up with after they leave the hospital. Primary or specialty doctors do track a child’s growth but often children and parents need more specific nutrition interventions and education beyond what is able to be provided in a doctor’s office.

My desire is to be a resource for families, who are managing their child’s chronic medical condition at home, or who have a healthy child but need assistance with age appropriate foods, weight management, food allergies, picky eating and more.

I am committed to thoroughly reviewing your concerns, involving your child in the process, and devising a plan that everyone can agree on. We will tweak and adjust as we go, so that your individualized plan will best help your child thrive. I talk about intuitive eating, all foods fit in moderation (with the exception of allergies) and I emphasize health at every size. I will not promote weight loss in children or focus on BMI, but I will discuss how to improve food choices and incorporate exercise. I look forward to working with you and your child!
