Zena Hattar, RD

Hello, my name is Zena, pronounced "Zey-na". Ever since I was young, I've held a deep passion for food. This love led me to graduate from culinary school in 2017. I earned my undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from California State University, Northridge. After working in various hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and community programs, I pursued a Master's degree in Nutrition from Arizona State University. With loved ones facing ailments like diabetes, obesity, and high blood pressure, my aim is to serve the community using the knowledge and skills I've acquired over the years. A favorite saying of mine, from the philosopher Hippocrates, is, “Let food be thy medicine, and let medicine be thy food.” I believe there's a balance between enjoying delicious food and reaping its natural health benefits. Everyone has the potential to alter their diet to enhance their life. In a world overflowing with convenient, unhealthy, and addictive foods, I understand the challenges. I've faced them too. My role is to help you better understand what your body truly needs and guide you in integrating those needs into your daily life. Remember, this journey isn't a sprint; it's a marathon. Like any marathon, it requires training, and I'm here to support and cheer you on.
