Hi! My name is Emma and I am a seasoned Registered Dietitian and a Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist in numerous states. I graduated from Stony Brook University with a bachelor’s degree in health science, a concentration in public health and a minor in health and wellness. After graduation, I then attended Hunter College in New York City where I earned my master’s degree in nutrition and dietetics and completed my dietetic internship. Upon obtaining my RD credential and licensure, I worked in pediatrics where I counseled mothers (pregnant, postpartum, or breastfeeding), infants, and children. Currently, I work full time in an Intensive Outpatient Program and Partial Hospitalization Program counseling individuals in recovery from their eating disorders.
I am an advocate for both Intuitive Eating and Health and Every Size ®️️. I am even a certified intuitive eating counselor that was “Trained & Certified by The Original Intuitive Eating Pros”®️️. I practice from a holistic view where I encourage conversations around emotions, feelings, and behaviors around food to better understand both our relationship with food and our body. We will work together as a team to build long-term sustainable changes for your health that help you live your life to the fullest while rejecting all judgment, shame, and guilt around your body and food.
Growing up as an athlete, I have had my own personal affiliation with an eating disorder and disordered eating. This granted me a passion to do the work that I do while also having immense empathy and understanding of my clients.
During my free time, you can find me hiking, gardening, playing with my dog Butter and cat Gaucho, traveling, or cheering on the New York Rangers. Feel free to email me at ephilbin22@gmail.com if you have questions about whether working with me is a good fit for you!
