My name is Aliya Sisti. I got my Bachelors in Food and Nutrition from SDSU and went on to get credentialed as a Registered Dietitian in 2018. I continued my education and received my Masters in Professional Practice in Dietetics from Iowa State University in 2021. I started my education in nutrition after finding frustration, as many do, with the contradicting information that was provided on the internet. Who am I other than a Registered Dietitian? I am an animal lover who spent years fostering dogs through a local animal rescue and spent time in Africa on a rescued animal reserve. I also am an athlete who played competitive soccer throughout school but then moved onto strength sports and now competes in weightlifting. I am also big on family and love spending time with mine in my free time. Becoming a Registered Dietitian has allowed me to assist clients with many different goals using evidence based information. I always utilize patient centered education with my clients, meaning, my aim is always to let my clients set the goals and I am able to show them how they can get there. I have been lucky enough to work with many different age groups and disease states. I have been able to support my clients in not only meeting weight based goals, but also improving lab values for disease states (e.g. Diabetes) as well as many other goals. I am here to be my clients #1 supporter. Getting to see my clients meet their goals will always be what drives me to love my job!
