Diagnosis and Treatment Plan

Nutrition Dx: Disordered eating patterns related to misinformation about food and poor body image as evidenced by binge eating patterns and negative body image thoughts.

Client is still recovering from long lasting symptoms of COVID such as loss of sense of taste and smell and heavy congestion. Client reported increasing her overall water intake this week with not much difficulty. Client started exercising 5 mins on the treadmill again this week and reported having some trouble with consistency d/t still feeling congested. RD encouraged client to do it right when she got home from work to help alleviate putting it off or using any excuses to talk herself out of doing it. Client reported the she did a good job at increasing her overall intake at breakfast. RD and client discussed different food products client found at the grocery store recently that has helped client adopt healthier eating habits. Client reported having 1/2 of a blizzard from Dairy Queen yesterday and felt satisfied and full with only eating half and in control and didn't feel the urge to binge. She put the other half in the freezer for later and reported not even thinking about it being there. Client did report that she has a honey allergy and in only able to eat it in small amounts. Client is highly allergic to bees and goes into antiphallic shock if she gets stung.

Goals for this coming week are to continue to increase her water intake, exercise more consistently and continue to be consistent with a larger breakfast.

Will continue to follow up with client weekly and prn.
