Diagnosis and Treatment Plan

Patient is home for the summer.

She is finding that being at home is more challenging for her. There is a lot of food around that she does not allow herself to buy.

It is difficult for her to see everyone eating three meals per day. Frustrates her.

She had to eat because she was swimming. It's not that she is not swimming, but she has more difficulty deserving food.

Her dad cooks, and she knows it has more calories than she wants. She feels that she is being monitored.

The family is offering comments that could be more supportive.

Patient expressed that she struggles with her family understanding her situation.

They will often make comments about what she is or is not eating.

I recommended that we schedule a family session to review a modified Maudsley approach. Patient was amenable to this idea.

Intervention:

  1. List of therapists in Colorado
  2. Set up a family session
  3. Practice anchoring before dinner
  4. ROI sent for a new physician and parents
  5. F/u 1 week
