Hi! I'm Julie, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and Board Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition (CSR)with a passion for Functional Nutrition. I received a BS in Dietetics from Bowling Green State University and completed a Dietetic Internship at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. My work experience includes hospital based medical nutrition therapy for a variety of disease states for 14 years prior to focusing on kidney disease since 2003. I am passionate about combining a holistic, functional nutrition approach along with evidence-based science. With personal experience in digestive issues and cancer, I focus on gut health and root cause analysis. Outside of work you'll find me experimenting with new recipes, walking, reading, researching, meditating and spending quality time with family and friends. I became a dietitian when my boyfriend (now husband) underwent a bone marrow transplant for AML and had to follow a Low Bacteria Diet. I would be honored to work with you to strategize a plan that supports your individual needs and empowers you to live your best life.
