I was born in San Diego, California, but I grew up in Tijuana, Mexico. Knowing different cultures and ways of life has been a big part of my adult stage. Traveling opened up my mind to different ways of thinking and traditions regarding food. I studied a Bachelor’s in Nutrition in Guadalajara, Mexico. I had the opportunity to do an academic exchange in Melbourne, Australia for one year. Upon returning to Mexico, I continued with my internship in the capital of the country. Over there I met many people who inspired me to continue expanding my knowledge, so I got a scholarship to study at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. I studied a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition and obtained a certification to become a Registered Dietitian and be able to work in the USA and Canada. Today, I help people prepare for Bariatric surgery physically and mentally through nutritional consultations. I have always been passionate about this topic and completed my Bariatric Counseling Certification.
"I chose to become a Registered Dietitian because I was interested in the healing power of food. My goal is to generate a positive impact on individuals who want to change their lives, by creating healthier habits. I work with an intuitive eating approach and teach individuals to listen to their hunger cues and learn to respond them. My practice is a judgment-free space where individuals can be understood and be themselves. Finding motivation, nutrition education, relief and above all, health."
