Background

About

Growing up in an Asian American household, food was how my family showed care and celebration. That curiosity led me to a BS in Nutrition Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a career as an RD and LDN. Over five years I’ve worked in clinical and hospital settings, private practice, community health, and corporate wellness, now serving patients in Plano, Texas. I love cooking, yoga, hiking, and reading, and I bring that same curiosity to helping clients build nutrition habits that fit their culture and daily life.

Care philosophy

I blend science and empathy to help you make changes that last. As an RD and LDN I use current research to guide clear, practical steps, while holding space for your story and preferences. We’ll focus on sustainable behaviors rather than quick fixes, using a weight-neutral lens that honors health at every size. Together we’ll set achievable actions, address sleep and stress, and I’ll explain the why behind recommendations so you feel confident making informed choices for the long term.

What to expect in your first session

I make the first visit a relaxed, judgment-free conversation where we’ll review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics. I’ll ask about your relationship with food, routines, and what’s felt helpful or frustrating so we can understand the whole picture. Together we’ll create a simple meal plan and establish short-term, realistic goals you can try between visits. You don’t need to have everything figured out, we’ll move at a pace that fits your life and culture.

Approach

I believe that nutrition is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Every individual has unique needs, preferences, and goals, and my role is to partner with you to create a personalized plan that fits seamlessly into your lifestyle. My approach combines scientific knowledge with empathy and understanding, ensuring that every recommendation supports not only your health but also your overall well-being.
